Bullet is an active and healthy 12yo who doesn’t show any signs of slowing down yet he enjoys his naps. He has been good with the Spinone mix female in his home but he is not a fan of cats. He can be very forward when meeting new dogs but that’s from excitement. Bullet is crate, house and about 80% leash trained (he’ll initially pull from excitement). Bullet needs a new home due to a housing issue so he needs a new spot by 6/30. If you can open your heart and home to this great older guy (even on a temporary basis), please let us know. Pepe in Las Vegas, NV
Pepe in Las Vegas, NV
Pepe is a fun 4yo, 40lb guy who found himself in rescue due to housing issues. He’s not a fan of other dogs although he doesn’t look for trouble with them. He’s been around younger children and loves being with them.. This cutie-pie is house and leash trained; and he’s fine with being crated overnight and less than a few hours during the day. If you’re looking for an energetic dog to keep up with your active lifestyle, Pepe is your guy! Rocky in Riverside, CA – Adopted!
Rocky is a wonderful 2.5yo, 45lb guy who has been in 4 different homes in his young life. Rocky’s second owner placed him with relatives after his male Bull Terrier kept attacking Rocky. Rocky wasn’t getting enough exercise and attention in that home so he was placed with friends. Unfortunately, he got out from that home and was hit by a car. His second owner took him back in and paid for extensive surgery on Rocky’s leg. The rod from Rocky’s leg will be removed on May 17. We are now looking for the fifth and final home for this sweet boy. He is great with children of all ages (including a newborn) and is best with submissive dogs as he will now get defensive if another dog gets testy with him. He has been great with a roommate’s cat. Rocky is crate and house trained but needs some work on a leash as he can pull during a walk.
Arya – Western Washington USA 🐶 – ADOPTED!
Arya is now available for adoption. This little bundle of joy is 2-3 years old. Dog friendly with proper slow introduction. She is around 40-45lbs. She has been vetted and spayed. Arya’s requested a home with someone who has time to work on training, she enjoys learning but needs to trust you first. Arya is currently being fostered in Western Washington. Maverick – Gilroy, CA – ADOPTED!
Maverick – Gilroy, CA – Foster Home Needed
We can’t help but to try to squeeze this little guy in our program. Maverick’s owner’s sudden and numerous family emergencies have left her caring for several older relatives on an almost full-time basis. She is unable to bring Maverick with her as he can be an energetic bull in a china shop. Maverick is a sweet, cuddly and playful 7mo guy who hasn’t been around with children nor dogs very much but he’s been polite to them when he sees them on walks. He tried to play with cranky Chihuahuas and didn’t mind when they tried to bite his legs off. The resident grumpy senior cat swats at him and he just takes off. This cutie is crate and leash trained (might pull in the beginning due to excitement) and will need a refresher on house training. I’m hoping for a foster/foster-to-adopt home for this goofy young lad. More current pictures are on their way. Josie – Puyallup Area, WA – ADOPTED!
Josie is our newest little addition in WA. She just got a ride in from Klamath Falls OR where she was found as a stray. This tri-colored girl is a little bit of a mystery but so far likes other dogs and playing. Interested in cats a little too much. Will get better info on age and health after she is properly vetted. Shelter thinks 4-5; we think a bit younger. She weighs 37lbs and is a smallish standard or a larger mini. Stay tuned for more information as we unravel the mystery that is Josie.
Pepper in Copperopolis, CA – ADOPTED!
Pepper is Larry’s mother. She is 3 years old and about 45lbs. She is good with dogs outside of her home and has random resource guarding with the resident dogs. She is great with children, the family cat, chickens and livestock. Pepper needs a new home as one her owners suffered an injury to her hands and is unable to provide some much needed exercise and activities to Pepper. Like Larry, she is a world-class cuddler and loves baths. Pepper is crate, leash and house trained. If your information is not yet on file, please complete our online application: www.bullterrierrescue.org/?page_id=572. Thank you! ~Suz
Luna – Sebastopol, CA – ADOPTED
Luna will require an experienced and very confident leader for a fosterer/adopter as we are working to unwind some very aversive training methods employed at her former home (these were recommended by a trainer). We are also working on her extreme mouthiness when she gets excited (she nipped a potential adopter in the ear during play which required three stitches). She’s a 30lb, 3yo Bull Terrier Luna is good with dogs on a short-term basis but unknown with cats. A quiet adult only home would be ideal as the 11yo son in her former family was playing and making very high pitched sounds when Luna ran and nipped the friend in the thigh. She is leash, crate and house trained. Since she be overstimulated while playing with other dogs, she will need to be the only pet in her new home. If your information is not yet on file, please complete our application (http://www.bullterrierrescue.org/
Kopi – Visalia, CA – ADOPTED
Kopi is entering our program as his owner had to unexpectedly relocate due to work and could not take Zena and Kopi with her. This sensitive 1yo guy is very playful, and can be initially shy/nervous around strangers until he gets to know them. Per the owner surrender form, he is good with children, cats and other dogs. Both have been wonderful in the shelter playgroups. Kopi is crate trained but will likely need a refresher in house and leash manners. Kopi may guard his food and toys; the shelter staff has been able to take away his food bowl and toys without any issues but he could be subdued in a shelter environment. If your information is not yet on file, please complete our online application: http\://www.bullterrierrescue.org/?page_id=572. Please contact Suz at suz@bullyhaven.org or 415-672-7391 if you have any questions about this sensitive guy.
