Penny – Sebastopol, CA – – Adopted!

PennyToyNameMeet 2yo Penny!  She loves to play fetch but like any bully, she wants you to chase her to get the ball back. Despite her 35lbs, when she plays tug-of-war she will wrestle until she wins!  She loves playing with the resident Chihuahua male and going to parks to meet new friends.  She can be a bit sassy when it comes to sharing her toys and food but this can be easily managed with supervised play and separate feedings.  When play time is finally over, Penny loves to cuddle besides you and her adorable face is irresistible.  Penny has been house trained but she will neeed a refresher on crate and leash training.  If your information is not yet on file, our application can be found here:  http://www.bullterrierrescue.org/?page_id=572

Howie #2 – Sebastopol, CA

Howie is a delightful little guy who has a bit of anxiety so he would thrive in a home where there is a firm leadership structure in place. He is good with dogs, unknown with cats and can be a little nippy when excited so he’d do best with older children. He is extremely loving and affectionate, and he is so eager to please. Howie loves to snuggle in bed, loves tennis balls and also loves road trips. He is housetrained, walks well on a leash and is about 50% crate trained. Howie Fun Fact: He’s still on meds due to residual skin issues…if you tell him it’s time for meds, he’ll open his mouth for them. What a character!

Gucci – San Francisco, CA – – Adoption Pending

GucciCarNameGucci is a very laidback girl who is about 3 years old.  She is very dog-social and loves to give play bows to dogs that she meets during walks.  She loves going out for walks but she likes to cuddle and hang out on the sofa just as much.  This 45lb cupcake is crate, leash, house and sofa trained.  Gucci was spayed on 4/5/16; and she is recovering nicely. Zoey – San Francisco, CA

ZoeyStocktonName2Super sweet Zoey was found sleeping on a blanket in a dog park during a storm.  She is dog-social and had a blast playing with her finder’s female Italian Greyhound mix. Zoey is about 3.5 years old; and she weighs approximately 35lbs. Sharkey – Sebastopol, CA

SharkeyCollageMedHello Handsome! Nice to meet’cha! This is Sharkey. He was found running in the streets with a female pit bull and brought to a Willows shelter as strays. We swooped him up because we couldn’t resist that face! He is about 2 yrs old, about 45lbs, energetic, super friendly and great on a leash. He has been known to be good with female dogs;  we are taking his intros to males slowly as he was recently neutered.  He is a rescue favorite and we hope to find him a foster or forever home. Nikki – San Francisco, CA – ADOPTED!

NikkiSweetMediumNikki is an adorable 4yo girl who came into our program when her family was faced with housing issues.  This 47lb girl loves other dogs and although she hasn’t been around many children, her gentle demeanor would be great for the younger ones. Nikki is crate, house and leash trained.  Her skin infections (due to being an outside dog for a few years) are nearly resolved and it’s now just a matter of weekly medicated baths. Ben – Sebastopol, CA

BenNameBen is a very active and playful guy who entered our program when he displayed food aggression towards his owner. Purchased to be a service dog, Ben (fka Zen) knows commands such as Sit, Spin, Shake, Walking Side (Heel), Cross The Street, and Stop.  This little 40lb guy is a year old (born 3/30/15); he is good with other dogs but is untested with the kitties.  We have not experienced any food aggression from Ben but as a precaution, will place him in a home where there are children 12 years old and up.   Ben will need an experienced bull breed and training savvy owner who’ll give him the guidance and structure that he needs and thrives under.  This sweet guy is crate, house and 85% leash trained.  If your information is not yet on file, our application can be found here: http://www.bullterrierrescue.org/?page_id=572.

Wiley – San Francisco, CA – – Adoption Pending

WileySitNameHe’s a 10mo guy who is great with dogs (his best friend is a male Great Dane). He was good with a cat in his former home but he is too interested in the ones in his foster home. He’s been around an infant but his exuberance is better suited for older children. He does have a habit of scarfing down objects from the floor so he’ll need to be watched to ensure that he doesn’t go through another obstruction surgery. Wiley Fun Fact: He totally respects the boundaries given by older dogs. When the Great Dane determines that play time is over, he simply drapes a big paw over Wiley who understands that this means “Game Over”.

Stuart – San Jose, CA – Adopted!

StuartSitNameThis wonderful little 1y4m (born September 2014) guy is simply delightful.  Stuart is smart, people-focused and super playful.  He isn’t good with small dogs but is social with medium/large dogs that are non-reactive to him. In his foster home, he has been great with the resident female Bull Terrier but can butt heads with the male Bull Terrier that is almost the same age.  He is crate, house and leash trained.  His energy level can be high but that’s typical for a Bull Terrier his age.  Lots of exercise and activities will help re-channel a lot of that energy.  Stuart has been good around children 5 and older; he is not a fan of the kitties.

Karma – Vancouver, WA – ADOPTED!

Super sweet Karma is a two year old, 40lb fawn girl (born 12/28/13) who needs another home due to a pending divorce. Karma is great with children (is gentle with the 6, 10 and 13 year old kids in the family) as well as a Bouvier and another female Bull Terrier. We’re not sure how she is with cats. She is crate, leash and house trained, although the past few weeks all the dogs had accidents but it may be due to the changes in the home. She has a likely ear infection and has some itchy skin patches so we’d like to find a foster/foster-to-adopt spot for her.
