Winnie, Alameda

WinnieNameWinnie2NameWinnie is a delightful 2-3 year old girl who is very affectionate and loves to snuggle.  She seems to be housebroken, is crate-trained and will need a refresher on leash training.  She will have accidents in her crate but only if there is a blanket in it.  Winnie loves playing with water and has been fine with the standard poodles in her foster home.  She has also played wonderfully with a 10-month Bull Terrier male.  Winnie is currently in the Sacramento area.  Winnie is about 35 pounds.  Please enjoy this video of the little dumpling.

Cookie – ADOPTED!

BakersfieldCookieA976314NameCookieTiltName

Sweet little Cookie was found in a Bakersfield hotel with her deceased owner.  At the shelter, she shared a kennel with a female pit bull without any issues.  This little sugar lump is about 2 years old; and she weighs about 45-50lbs.  Cookie was transferred to Rescue when she was unclaimed.  She’s been very sad and confused in her interim foster home; and a recent vet check revealed that one of her hind legs was badly broken and was never completely healed.  Cookie has recovered from her ortho surgery; and her crate rest period is over.  This sweet little girl is great in a crate and will need a refresher on leash and house training.  If we do not have your information on file, our application can be found here:  http://www.bullterrierrescue.org/?page_id=572  Thank you for any consideration!!!

Preston – Encino, CA

PrestonShelterName PrestonNamePreston is an awesome guy who is great with dogs, cats, rabbits, kids, and everything else under the sun. He arrived at the Camarillo shelter as a stray with old breaks in his left hind leg.  We quickly had an ortho surgeon do the repairs and plating in his leg so we’ll be fundraising to offset the $4000 surgery costs for this sweet dumpling.  Preston is about 1.5 years old and he weighs about 40 pounds; he is done with his post-op crate rest and his x-rays show that his leg is fully healed.  He recently went running for an hour without any issues.  This delightful guy is crate, leash and house trained.

Angel – Salinas

AngelNameAngel is a cute chubby 52lb girl who passed her shelter evaluations with flying colors!  She is a very relaxed but happy girl who mingled very well with people of all ages and with other the shelter dogs.  Angel will be spayed on 6/12; and she’ll be making her way to Sebastopol the weekend of 6/13.  This tank girl hoping to recover in a home and promises to be a good girl.  Angel is about 2-3 years old.

Presley, Encino CA – Adopted!

PresleyNamePresley’s foster mom needs to get back on the career path so she urgently needs a new foster spot.  This little cupcake entered our program when her owner had to care for her father who was seriously injured in a car accident.  Presley has recovered from her mange and eye infections and special diet.  Presley turned one on Easter. and she’s a delightful 35lb girl who loved to rough house with a 100+ pound Great Dane in her former home but stays away from the Chihuahua owned by her owner’s dad. We don’t know how she is with cats but she’s great with her owner’s 6 and 8 year old brothers. She’s crate and house trained but can pull initially on walks. Her repertoire of tricks include Sit, Stay, Lay Down, Roll Over, etc.  Since she is high energy and on the pushy side, her ideal home would be a bull breed savvy one, and one where she would be the only pet.  Presley seems to get along with other dogs upon meeting but will get into scuffles with them on a long-term situation.  Presley will be available once she recovers from her spay.

Wyatt, Santa Clarita – ADOPTED!

WyattNameWyatt is an absolutely delightful little guy who was found stray in the streets of Pomona and brought to the infamous Devore Shelter.  He is recovering from his neuter and will need to gain some weight so he’ll be available around 6/14/14.  Wyatt is 5 to 6 months old; and he currently weighs around 29 pounds.  He is great with other dogs and is very mindful of cats (he’s really more curious about them more than anything).  He loves to follow you around but is not overly clingy nor hyper.  Please check back for updates on this little doll!

Jester, Venice Beach – ADOPTED

JesterNameJester is a 10mo clown (hence his name) who was rescued from a high-kill Southern CA shelter by a kind couple.  After neutering him and teaching him some basic manners, they have contacted Rescue to help find a home that would appreciate a very goofy guy.  Jester is awesome with other dogs, knows some basic commands (working on “drop it” because he’s a little stubborn in that department), and is house & leash trained.
He’s a gentle soul but still full of puppy energy and joy. He loves to follow you around the house and be your personal fan club.  He’s still learning to be less mouthy; and he totally respects the boundaries given by the resident male BT and senior shepherd/terrier mix. Please check out his video:  http://youtu.be/FPr2dWUr5VE

Mickey – San Francisco, CA – ADOPTED!

MickeyNameSuper sweet Mickey entered our program when his owner faced housing issues.  Mickey is a touch over 9 years old (born 2/1/05) and he weighs 73 pounds.  This big guy can be good with other dogs with slow and careful introductions but we’re hoping for a spot where he can be doted on as the pampered sole pet.  He’s not a fan of cats but is one of most people focused and affectionate guys you’ll ever meet.  He is looking for a home where he can be the owner/operator of a comfy couch and just lounge on it all day.  He is house trained, is a dream on a leash and getting used to being in crate.  Do you have a sofa waiting for this sweet guy?  We’ll be taking care of his teeth in a few weeks so other than that, he just needs supplements to help his joints.  He moves just fine when he’s on them. Very mellow and sweet guy!

Chloe – Sebastopol, ADOPTED!

Chloe

ChloeNBuddyMed

Chloe has recovered from her ear infection and has a bit of residual skin issues. She is great with other dogs and gets along fabulously with the male BT in her foster home.  Chloe is about 1.5 years old and 40lbs. Chloe is a bolter so you’ll need to secure her before opening any doors.  She is house, crate and leash trained.  If your information is not yet on file, our application can be found here: http://www.bullterrierrescue.org/?page_id=572. Rambo – Los Angeles

RamboNameRamboNPalName
A neighbor saved Rambo from a life of being crated indoors only to find out that he isn’t cut out for outdoor life like the four little dogs in the home.  Rescue has been asked to find him a home where he can be indoors and where his snuggles can truly be appreciated. He’s been great (and loves playing) with dogs 8lbs and up as well as children. Energy level is moderate with the prerequisite walks. No food nor toy aggression with the little mutts and even defers to them. Rambo is about 2 years old; he weighs about 45lbs.
