Kono, Las Vegas – ADOPTED!

KonoKitchen.NameKono languished in a pet shop for almost 7 months before he was rescued.  He is having a blast being in a home, being warm, sleeping in his own little bed or on the couch, discovering things like grass, toys and finally being able to play with other dogs.  He is energetic but does calm down after walks and doggy play sessions.  He loves to snuggle and loves to follow you around at home.  Kono is 9 months old; and he is about 45 pounds.  He is crate, house and leash trained.  A very delightful and affectionate little guy!!!

Bella – Granite Bay – – ADOPTED!!!

BellaBella is a 10mo busy body. She’s good with dogs (with the proper introductions) but must be fed separately (preferably in her crate) around other woofers. She has a very rough play style so she’d do well in a home with another high energy dog.  She is crate, leash and house trained.  This little tornado  is about 40lbs.  Her original Facebook link:https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151814441378141&set=a.295209518140.148774.59917658140&type=1&theater

Bug – ADOPTED!

BugBug has finally recovered from her skin and ear issues; and she has gained enough weight for her spay and dentistry appointment so she’ll be available in a few weeks. This little 35lb girl is great with children, all dogs and can be called off when she sees cats. We think that she’s about 5 years old. Bug is leash, crate and house trained. She jumps up on people when she’s happy and/or excited but will happily comply when told “No Jumping!”. Bug is a very sweet and affectionate little girl! Sherman – San Francisco, ADOPTED

Sherman

Sherman needs a new home as his family is moving to the Midwest and can’t take him with them. He is about 4 years old and 62lbs. Sherman is great with people and loves children, even the little ones. He is wonderful with cats but is very selective with other dogs. He is house, crate and leash trained. A wonderful companion for a family who can manage a dog that is not good with other dominant woofers. Here’s a video of Sherman having a blast with his foster mom:

Princess – San Francisco (Mini – PLL Status = Clear) – ADOPTED

PrincessNamePrincess is a 2yo Miniature Bull Terrier.  She has gone through loving boot camp for crate guarding and food aggression (both towards people). Princess will need a very experienced Bull Terrier owner as she is chock full of Girl Power and will test you daily. Princess is 35lbs and has a Grade 2-3 heart murmur (our vet did mention that her heart does sound nice and strong). Princess is crate, leash and house trained; and she is very dog-social.  Her Primary Lens Luxation test result returned as “Clear”. More about PLL

Brooklyn – Portland, OR – – ADOPTED!

BrooklynBrooklyn is a delightful girl who is almost 3 years old (born 5/10/11). She has been through obedience classes (knows Sit, Down, Heel, Stay, Wait, Go Up, Get off, Leave It, Go Night Night, etc.); and she is great on a leash. Although she loves going for walks and used to 3 mile ones, she is perfectly content being on your lap while watching TV. She also has her own version of TV which is waiting the birds and chipmunks that land on the birdfeeder viewable through a bedroom window. Brooklyn used to be the buddy of a young boy so she is used to being played with, handled all over and wrestled with. She is house, crate and snow trained. She is great with dogs and would love to be the companion of a male dog. As she often brings home presents of moles, shrews, voles and baby possums, she is likely not kitty friendly. Here she is pictured with her ACD buddy, Benjamin Blue.

Darling Dozer – ADOPTED!

DozerDozer entered our program when he was getting very limited 1:1 time with his family due to his rowdiness; and he started becoming dominant with the two young children in his home. Dozer is about 4.5 years old (born October 2009) but is still very much a big puppy. With some structure and set boundaries in his interim foster spot, he has turned out to be quite a little darling. He is playful and very eager to please. He learns quickly and can be protective of his family until you let him know that all is OK. Although he is generally good with dogs on a short-term basis, he has jealousy issues with them on a long-term basis. His ideal home is one with older children and where he’s the only pet. Dozer is about 45lbs; he is crate, house and about 90% leash trained.

Patton – ADOPTED

PattonPatton is the last of Norma Jean’s babies, born on 4/21/13 (almost a year old). He spent some time with an older couple but who knew that he’d be 70lbs? We think he’s mixed with American Bulldog but he’s still a goofy guy who is still a big puppy. He gets along fabulously with the female Bull Terrier and the cat in his foster home. He’s a very friendly goofball who is also good with children. Patton is house, crate and leash trained.  A video of Patton can be found here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B391Ltugw8E
